I'm a mother, medical doctor, entrepreneur, and advocate for the awareness of domestic violence! I'm thankful that you've found interest in Purple Tears, LLC! I believe that together, we can be of support to survivors and victims living with the traumatic effects of domestic violence! I am a survivor!

Who is Dr. Brooke Mobley?

Dr. Brooke Mercedes Mobley was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was educated and developed her love and obsession with sports. She knew at a young age she wanted to become a doctor and help her community. She graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2003 where she joined the illustrious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. She then went on to obtain her Master’s in Business administration from Saint Joseph’s Haub School of business and Doctor of Osteopathy in a dual degree program from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. During her medical school career she was very active in the Student National Medical Association the only national minority association for pre medical and medical students, on the local and national level.  After graduation she went on to an Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology fellowship at Christiana Care Health Services in Newark Delaware.

Dr. Mobley started her nephrology career in Lake City, Florida where she started a de novo renal disease and hypertensive outpatient clinic as well as started and sat as Medical director of a dialysis clinic for DaVita. During her time there she held regular healthy soul food classes and educational courses for the community hospitals, local community centers, local churches, and graduate chapter Mu Upsilon Omega.  Dr. Mobley was presented the Dr.  Martin Luther King Junior award, after only being there for less than a year, due to her work in the local community and surrounding areas. Her career took and sharp turn after the birth of her daughter in March 2015. She moved from rural Florida to the Tampa metropolitan area and worked as hospitalist before creating a skilled nursing facility program consisting of supervising numerous ARNP’s and physician assistants in ten facilities over three counties. Currently residing as Associate Medical Director over Skilled Nursing Care in Tampa Bay as well as Associate Medical Director of North Pinellas Hospitalist medicine for Optum Care of Florida. She continues to mentor and motivate aspiring and current medical students. She also spends time speaking at local and national conferences and events about cancer, medical disparities, domestic violence, as well as motivational and inspiring platforms.

 

Dr. Mobley lives to inspire and encourage the generation of young medical and business professionals that come after her the same way she was inspired and encouraged by the generations whose shoulders she stood on.
